FAQ

 

When is the best time to schedule a newborn session?

It’s best to book your newborn session while you’re still pregnant to secure a spot on my calendar. The ideal time for photos is within the first 5–14 days after birth, when babies are still very sleepy and naturally curled up.

What happens if we need to reschedule?

Life happen, I completely understand! If you need to reschedule, please give me at least 24 hours’ notice. We’ll find a new date that works, and your retainer will transfer to the new session. My goal is to keep the process simple and stress-free for you.

How long until we receive our photos?

You’ll receive your final gallery within two weeks after I receive your photo selections. I always work to deliver as quickly as possible, while making sure every image is edited with care and attention to detail.

Are the travel expenses included in your packages or covered additionally?

The first 25 miles from either the Boston or Worcester area are included in your session. For locations beyond that, a travel fee of $0.75 per mile will be added. I’m always happy to discuss the details and help plan the perfect spot for your photos.

What should we wear for a newborn session?

Soft, neutral tones photograph beautifully and keep the focus on your baby. Comfort is key! Choose simple outfits without bold logos or busy patterns. I’ll share my Pinterest board and blog posts to guide you with ideas for the whole family, so getting ready feels easy.

Where do newborn sessions take place?

All newborn sessions take place in the comfort of your home. This allows you and your baby to feel relaxed while I create timeless images using natural light and a small flash setup when needed.

How long does a newborn session last?

Newborn sessions typically last 1–3 hours, with plenty of time for feeding, soothing, and breaks. My approach is calm and baby-led, so we move at your baby’s pace.

Do we need to prepare our home?

Not at all! You don’t need a perfectly tidy house. I’ll guide you and adjust the spaces we use! I focus on connection, not perfection, and I’ll gently work around everyday life.

Can siblings and parents be included?

Absolutely. Newborn sessions are about your whole family’s story, so I always encourage parents and siblings to be part of the photos too.
